Many students struggle with college application essays, but it doesn’t have to be that way. I know that students are capable of writing impressive personal statements, but they sometimes need a little guidance.


I'm an MA graduate of the University of Chicago who has been published in academic journals such as Philip Roth Studies and The Hemingway Review and mainstream outlets, including Los Angeles Review of Books, the Star Tribune, memoryhouse, Willamette Week, and On the Seawall.


I'm a teacher with experience at the middle school, high school, and college levels. I've helped students from ages 13 to 23 write more effectively, and I can help you with your application essay.
